Sahith Theegala grew up in California and attended the same high school as soccer star and LAGC investor Alex Morgan. Before turning professional, Theegala was a three-time NCAA All-American at Pepperdine University. He also represented the United States in the Arnold Palmer Cup in 2018 and in 2020, and he won the Fred Haskins, Ben Hogan and Jack Nicklaus Awards with Pepperdine University as the top collegiate golfer in the United States.

He earned his first career PGA TOUR title at the 2023 Fortinet Championship, defeating S.H. Kim by two strokes.

Theegala is also an avid reader and a big fan of the Ranger's Apprentice series of books. American Ninja Warrior is one of his favorite shows and he enjoys listening to RL Grime and Flume.
