Tommy Fleetwood, fresh off Ryder Cup success with Team Europe, has signed up to compete in the first season of TGL presented by SoFi, launching in early 2025.

He's one of the new additions to the league announced on Thursday, with fellow Ryder Cup teammate Shane Lowry also confirming his commitment. South Korean star Tom Kim has also signed up.

Fleetwood has quickly established himself as one of the top golfers in the world since joining the PGA TOUR in 2018. A regular winner in Europe, he’s scored more than 30 top 10s and more than 20 top five finishes in 126 starts on TOUR.

Firmly entrenched among the elite in the Official World Golf Rankings, Fleetwood is the latest to join an already packed roster of TGL players that includes the likes of Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Rickie Fowler and others. League play begins on Tuesday, January 9th at SoFi Center on the campus of Palm Beach State College.

“I have been excited about the TGL since it was announced. Many of my fondest memories in golf have been playing in team competitions. With the players who have already been announced along with the names and stature of the ownership groups and investors, the league is in position to showcase our sport in a cool format to a new group of viewers and fans,” said Fleetwood.

Four TGL teams have been confirmed so far: Los Angeles Golf Club, Boston, Atlanta and New York. Two more teams will be announced in the coming weeks, with six in total taking part in the first season.

Each team will have three PGA TOUR golfers. Here’s who is signed up for TGL so far:

  • Tiger Woods
  • Rory McIlroy
  • Justin Thomas
  • Collin Morikawa
  • Matt Fitzpatrick
  • Justin Rose
  • Adam Scott
  • Max Homa
  • Xander Schauffele
  • Rickie Fowler
  • Billy Horschel
  • Tom Kim
  • Shane Lowry
  • Tommy Fleetwood

Fleetwood announced his arrival on the golf scene in 2011 on the Challenge Tour, winning the Kazakhstan Open and earning his spot on the European Tour. He took that step up in his stride, winning his first title on the European Tour at the 2013 Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles.

More titles have followed, including the 2017 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, and Fleetwood has thrice donned Team Europe colors at the Ryder Cup (2018, 2021, 2023). He secured the winning point for Team Europe on home soil at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in Rome to return the Cup to Europe.
