Rickie Fowler has a good thing going. The six-time PGA TOUR winner has always been one of the most popular players on tour. Now, he’s entering the prime of his career, winning tournaments, swinging great, and ready to bring his infectious energy to TGL.

“The more I learn about TGL the more excited I am to be a part of it,” Fowler said. “I love the idea of inviting fans to watch golf within an environment that is very similar to other primetime professional sports. Innovative approaches like this will broaden the appeal of golf, not just provide traditional fans an opportunity to see the sports’ biggest stars compete in primetime, but a modern presentation that broadens golf’s fanbase – especially with younger fans.”

Fowler’s been on a roll in 2023 and ended his four-year wait for a PGA TOUR win by taking the title at the Rocket Mortgage Classic after a playoff with Adam Hadwin and fellow TGLer Collin Morikawa. That victory came after a near miss for Fowler at the U.S. Open, while he’s also clocked up Top 10 finishes this season at Memorial, the Charles Schwab and the Valero Texas Open, among others.

The former PLAYERS champion (2015) brings a wealth of team golf experience to TGL as a veteran of four U.S. Ryder Cup teams and three U.S. Presidents Cup teams, as well as Walker Cup and Palmer Cup teams from his time as one of the most decorated amateurs in world golf.

The California native and proud Oklahoma State Cowboy has been a huge name ever since bursting onto the scene in 2007 and he’s sure to be a fan favorite once TGL gets underway in early 2025.

“Rickie has consistently been one of the most popular players on the PGA TOUR,” said TGL CEO McCarley.  “He is a fan-favorite with fans of all ages and walks of life.  We welcome him to TGL as Rickie’s dynamic personality and competitiveness will thrive in the TGL environment as we pit top stars in a primetime team competition that fuses technology and traditional golf.”

With six PGA TOUR wins and three more on the international circuit, Fowler is no stranger to getting it done under big-time pressure.
